Create a presentation focused on a famous individual criminal or significant criminal event. Research a topic not on the list if it is cleared first by your teacher!
Understand what information needs to be gathered:
- Biographical information on individuals involved
- Past Crimes/Pattern of behavior leading up to major event
- Explanation of crimes committed
- Evidence Collected
- Possible Suspects
- Information about criminal investigation and whether or not they were captured
- Information about punishment (trial, sentencing, evidence used, etc.)
- Why this case famous or important
Consider research questions like who, what, where, when, why, how and then select significant keywords for searching. Also, create search phrases with use of quotation marks for more than one word.

examples: "Robert LeRoy Parker" "Butch Cassidy" thief, bankrobber, "gang leader", outlaw

- Databases for magazines, newspapers, academic/scholarly journals, websites, images, videos & more PLUS citations are provided within databases. Explora, Academic Search Premier, and Global Issues in Context provide credible, trustworthy resources.
- The BEST database for quality and an abundant variety of biographical resources...Biography in Context from the public library (provides the citation for you from known credible, reliable sources! :)
- Library Card Number: 437+ID number for Library card
- PIN: four digit graduation year for password
- Primary source examples: photograph, video/audio recording, letter, map, diary, speech, autobiography, trial transcript, interview
- SweetSearch - filters out the CRAAP (credible, reliable, authoritative, accurate and purposeful)...give it a try, compare to google results

- Advanced Google Book Search - select full view only
- Remember with search engines, the more phrases and search words the more narrow and related to your topic. Also, you must work to create a correct citation for websites found through a search engine. See Online Citation Tool link below. If you haven't used MyBib.com yet, you really should check it out!

CITATIONS for USE INFORMATION LEGALLY, ETHICALLY & RESPONSIBLY
- create source citations with use of an Online Citation Tool (highly recommend MyBib),
- however you do NOT need these tools IF using databases sources which provide the citation! :)
- use in-text/parenthetical citations on your google slides to give credit to the source of the information and images; review video tutorial
